As 2012 gets well and truly underway at SCA, we are looking forward to another year supporting the Restoration of Appearance and Function Trust (RAFT) as our Featured Charity.

At SCA we are happy to respond to email enquiries with free general advice about skin camouflage products and how people can best access services in their area. In return, we ask for a voluntary donation, however small, to RAFT. Donating between £1 – £10 is easy by text. E.g. text  “ RAFT01 £5” to 70070 to donate £5.

We also donate a percentage of our fee income to RAFT and promote RAFT on our stationery, Twitter and Facebook. We make collections at wedding fairs and other local events.

If you would like to get more involved in supporting RAFT here are some great ideas for 2012!

Wednesday 28th March:

Comedy Evening in aid of RAFT at The Comedy Bunker, Fairways, Ruislip. £3 from each ticket sale goes directly to RAFT.

Doors open at 8.15 pm and the show starts at 8.45 pm. There are two bars downstairs at the Fairways and a bar at the back of the Function Room for drinks in the 15 minute interval. Contact Laura at RAFT

Sunday 22nd April:

Virgin London Marathon

RAFT has filled it’s 10 ballot places for this year’s race, but if anyone has been lucky enough to obtain their own ballot place through a running club, fire brigade or through the official ballot, perhaps they might consider ‘Running for RAFT’.  No minimum sponsorship is required if you have received your own ballot place, just whatever you can to help raise funds for RAFT. Contact Laura at RAFT

Saturday 9th June:

Mighty Mount Snowdon

Take on the challenge of climbing the highest mountain in Wales – an 8 mile journey with a total ascent of 3500ft!

It only costs £65 per person to sign up (not including accommodation, travel expenses, etc) and then all we ask is that you raise as much money in sponsorship as you can for RAFT.

RAFT help sign you up and create a fundraising page for you. Places are limited so please email Laura at RAFT before the end of January.

Wednesday 20th June:

Annual Clay Pigeon Shoot at Holland & Holland in Northwood. Contact Christine at RAFT
