Do you have a scar, tattoo or birthmark that you want to conceal? Maybe you suffer from a skin condition such as vitiligo, rosacea or pigmentation and desperately want to disguise it?

Or perhaps you’re a legal or medical professional with clients who could benefit from a skin camouflage medico-legal report, consultation or our clinical services?

Skin Camouflage Advice (SCA) was created for you by skin camouflage practitioner and make-up artist, Rowena Wilson. “SCA is here to answer your questions about skin camouflage and provide the services that you need. We also have direct links with a number of key charities with an interest in people’s appearance and skin health and actively work with them to increase awareness of these issues.”

Skin camouflage uses specially designed creams, powders and sprays to help cover-up a range of skin conditions, including:

  • Scars – surgical, accidental, self-harm,
  • Birthmarks,
  • Tattoos,
  • Acne,
  • Stretch marks,
  • Age spots,
  • Prominent veins,
  • Skin grafts, and
  • Other skin conditions such as: vitiligo, rosacea and pigmentation.

Using skin camouflage products that are right for you and applying them in the correct way can have a profound impact on improving your appearance.

Rowena Wilson has hundreds of hours of experience helping men, women and children to improve their appearance and boost their self-confidence through the use of skin camouflage. During the course of her work she has met people from all walks of life, with all skin tones and facing many different concerns about the appearance of their skin and has helped them achieve an improved appearance. She still volunteers as a skin camouflage practitioner for the charity, Changing Faces, and actively supports the British Association of Skin Camouflage, the Skin Camouflage Network and the Restoration of Appearance and Function Trust (RAFT) which is SCA’s featured charity – donating to RAFT could not be simpler using the “Donate Now” button on the Home page.

Rowena is an expert witness providing medico-legal reports for personal injury, medical and clinical negligence and self-harm cases. She also gives individual consultations and provides clinical services for medical professionals.

In a typical skin camouflage consultation, she will assess your skin tone and match it to the most suitable camouflage products for your needs. She also gives you information on skin care and teaches you how you can apply the products to the maximum effect. Brides wanting to cover a tattoo on their wedding day have also been especially glad of her knowledge and expertise.

Skin Camouflage Advice is primarily based in Warwickshire and the West Midlands, although Expert Witness work is available nationwide. We also have colleagues in London and the East Midlands who can assist with individual consultations and clinics.
